overview

VERA is a self-initiated fragrance identity study. The concept explores how a scent can become a visual world: tactile, atmospheric and recognisable before the first note is experienced. The starting point was the tension between a quiet object and an expressive personality.

challenge

Fragrance identities often lean on familiar signals of luxury. This study asks how to create a distinct presence without relying on decoration alone. The challenge was to make a compact bottle, a carton and a digital presentation feel connected while allowing each surface to breathe. A clear hierarchy had to work at the scale of a label and at the scale of a campaign image.

design direction

The direction pairs confident typography with generous space and a restrained material palette. The wordmark acts as an anchor, while photographic colour introduces energy around the product. Packaging follows a consistent grid so the bottle, carton and printed pieces share the same rhythm. Art direction favours close crops, reflected light and deliberate contrasts between warmth and coolness.

The system

The proposed system extends from packaging to campaign layouts and a small digital product story. Reusable type scales, spacing rules and image treatments give it continuity across formats. This is a concept project: the imagery illustrates the intended atmosphere, and the presentation can be replaced with final client artwork.
