overview

MONO HOUSE is a concept for the digital presence of an architecture practice. Its visual language begins with the qualities of the spaces themselves: light, material, proportion and the way a room unfolds. The site is imagined as an editorial archive rather than a catalogue, giving every project a clear sequence and an individual pace.

challenge

Architectural work needs room to be understood. A collection of impressive images alone does not explain a practice’s point of view. The challenge was to connect spaces, project information and studio thinking without making the interface compete with the photography. The structure also had to remain useful as the archive grows and new categories of work are introduced.

design direction

A modular grid establishes a calm rhythm across the site. Large photographs alternate with compact project notes, allowing the visitor to move between an overall impression and precise details. Typography stays direct and quiet. The navigation makes the archive easy to browse, while reusable CMS fields keep project information consistent across the overview and individual pages.

The system

The concept includes a responsive project archive, detailed case pages and an editorial area for studio notes. Consistent image proportions and a small set of text styles make future updates straightforward. This self-initiated study uses reference photography to communicate the intended material and spatial character.
